Challenge Accepted

Jim developed his health and wellness Program out of necessity to transform his own health and wellness and the diminished quality of his own life.  Prior to this, despite exercising regularly, he struggled with his weight and health, battling flare-ups of Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, coronary artery disease, acid reflux, chronic inflammation, frequent athletic injuries, heart palpitations, blood clots, a regularly inflamed prostate, eosinophils esophagus, and various other health conditions and was regularly hospitalized.  His doctors call him “the n of 1”.  After performing extensive research, consulting with physicians, and conducting his own personal tests and trials, he created the JVB Health & Wellness Program.  And it thoroughly changed his life.  For the first time in over 20 years, Jim takes no medications for his chronic ailments, something neither he nor his physicians ever thought possible.

Living The Life

Based in New York, he also has over 24 years of experience on Wall Street and in the finance industry, spending over eight years at Goldman Sachs in the investment banking division and over 15 years at other financial services firms.  He understands, first hand, the lifestyles, stress levels, and time constraints that senior executives and working professionals endure on a day-to-day basis both in the workplace and at home (he also has 2 young children), which helps him design personalized programs they can reasonably achieve.  He believes in paying attention to details and provide tips on how to maximize health, wellness, and career.  He lives the life he coaches.  Every day.

Getting Results

He has been coaching people for years, helping them achieve their goals.   His Program get results.  In addition to coaching, he is an active ultra-endurance athlete, competing in various events.  He has completed four Ironman triathlons, two within a three week span in 2012, five ultra-marathons including the Comrades Marathon in South Africa (~55 miles), a 50 mile trail race (Rocky Raccoon in Texas), 17 marathons, and over 50 New York Road Runners races.  He also completed Ironman Texas and Comrades within 2 weeks of each other in May 2015.  He is the co-founder and owner of SPIRE Fitness (www.spire-fitness.com), a fitness studio in Milwaukee, Wisconsin that features indoor cycling, rowing, and TRX.
